Description
This tuck point blade features a sandwich-style configuration for rapid and efficient removal of mortar from masonry joints. Instead of a solid segment, these blades stack two or three thin (.080″) diamond blades with a built-in spacer to create a precise kerf width of either 1/4″ or 3/8″. This design excels in situations where speed and dust control are critical.
While solid segmented tuck point blades perform reliably in many applications, the sandwich style variation reduces heat buildup and friction, allowing the blade to cut more freely and with less drag. This makes it ideal for contractors working on large vertical walls, long stretches of brick or block, or time-sensitive restoration projects.
The gap between the stacked blades not only clears debris quickly but also produces less airborne dust, especially when paired with the Dust Mizer 005 Dust Containment Assembly. These blades are most often mounted on 4″ to 6″ angle grinders, but are also compatible with larger saws for surface-level grinding.
Tuck point blades like these are commonly used for repointing brick facades, removing deteriorated mortar joints, and prepping expansion gaps. With their premium-grade diamond bond and layered design, these blades stay sharper longer and resist segment loss even under high load conditions.
